What’s ALWAYS in my Freezer

  1. Frozen Pizza

It’s always there in a pinch and I can make it a full meal by eating it with a salad. I almost always have cherry tomatoes, spring mix, red onion, parm, and ingredients to make balsamic dressing which makes the perfect side salad to a pizza. To elevate my pizza a bit, I usually add some sort of chili - (hot honey, red pepper flakes, truffle hot sauce) and honey — just makes my pizza a bit yummier.

  2. Frozen Dumplings (from Trader Joes)

Makes for an easy dinner or late night snack.

  3. Crushed Ginger

I don’t use ginger a whole lot but I like having on hand when I need it. Frozen crushed ginger is found at most grocery stores in the freezer isle.

  4. Minced Garlic

I usually buy my garlic wholesale and throw it in the food processor and store it in ziplock bags so I have access to minced garlic whenever needed.

  5. Protein

I try to have hot Italian sausage, chicken breast and (uncooked) shrimp in my freezer. Shrimp defrosts really quickly for when you need to cook something in a pinch.

  6. Vegetables

I generally have a bag of corn in the freezer. During the winter months, I will keep peas and other heartier veg for dishes like Shepard’s pie.

  7. Frozen Fruit

For my morning smoothies, I keep mango and pineapple in my freezer.
